PRCC Mission

The Piedmont Rape Crisis Center aims to end sexual assault through empowering adult sexual assault victims into survivors through advocacy, support, community awareness, and education in Barrow, Jackson, and Banks Counties.

Statement of Values

Because sexual assault is a multi-faceted social problem, our response is necessarily multi-faceted. The Piedmont Rape Crisis Center (PRCC) addresses all factors that support the continuance of victimization from the passive denial of the prevalence of sexual assault to the physical crime itself.

We believe in supporting the survivor individually as well as raising awareness within in the community. We believe that each individual deserves a violence-free life regardless of age, class, race, ethnicity, sex, gender, physical and emotional ability, or sexual orientation. PRCC is committed to empowering survivors to regain a sense of autonomy, self-worth, and safety. We provide advocacy, emotional support, and resources so that the individual is equipped with the tools to choose his/her path to healing.
