Make a difference - Volunteer Information

The success of the Piedmont Rape Crisis Center is dependent on volunteer input and effort. Less than a decade ago, community volunteers came together to form PRCC. Today, our ability to serve the community is as strong as our volunteers collective reach.

PRCC values volunteer contributions in providing direct service as well as insight to the needs of the community in which they live. The shaping and realization of our mission is the result of volunteer time, skill, effort, and input.

PRCC Volunteer Rights:

PRCC volunteers commit to work to the best of their abilities on behalf of the PRCC mission. In recognition of the necessity and value of volunteer contributions to the success of PRCC, we submit that reliable PRCC volunteers shall have the right to:

  • effective supervision
  • be charged with meaningful assignments
  • have their opinions and work acknowledged and valued
  • recognition for work done well

Statement of Staff Commitment to the PRCC Volunteer

  • providing appropriate staff support to manage the volunteer program
  • contributing to the orientation, directing, evaluation, and recognition of volunteers
